Pie In The Shop offers 15 unique pie flavours, from sweet to savoury. All the pies are baked daily so every slice you get is guaranteed to be fresh.

The pies are set up like a buffet-style spread. Patrons can take the pies that strikes their fancy and pay accordingly later. Prices are indicated clearly beside each display, and range from KRW7,000 to KRW9,000 (~USD5.20 to 6.70) per slice

Their Toowoomba Pie Set that comes with a soup (KRW12,400, ~USD9.30) is one of their more popular savoury options, being highly praised amongst patrons. If you get the Toowoomba Pie alone, it’s KRW7,200 (~USD5.40) per slice.

Those who have a sweet tooth will want to try a slice of their Apple Sour Cream Pie (KRW7,700, ~USD5.80), or their Matcha Macadamia Pie for KRW7,800 (~USD5.80).

Pie In The Shop understands that visiting a cafe is as much a feast for your social media followers’ eyes as it is for your tummy, so the cafe has many photo spots where you can hold your own mini photoshoot.

Find 4 photo-worthy spots right at the entrance of the cafe. There’s a small display with the pi- likely a play on the word pie – and hashtag symbols, as well as two backdrops with the shop’s name. There’s also an artistic- and abstract-looking mural too.

The basement of the cafe is surrounded with various plants, and comes complete with an open glass roof and zen-like seating areas, so you can bask in natural sunlight and an outdoor-like setting staying comfortable.

Pie In The Shop also markets music as one of their main themes. So, it’s only natural that they have custom mixes produced by DJ Radio Revolutioner that rotate every 2 weeks. 

Each rotation aims to create a different atmosphere in the cafe, so even if you visit regularly, it never feels repetitive.

How to get there:

  • Head to the Hongik University Station Bus Stop (14498) near the subway station.
  • Take the Mapo 5 bus. Alight after 7 stops at the Yeonnam-dong Community Centre Bus Stop.
  • From there, cross the road towards Seongmisan-ro 29-gil.
  • Turn left at the next cross-section, then turn right. Pie In The Shop is located on your right.
