On 20th October, Kim Seon-ho and his agency released a statement of apology pertaining to the recent scandal that has been surrounding the Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha actor.
Kim Seon-ho forced his ex to get an abortion
On 17th October, an anonymous post accusing Kim Seon-ho was uploaded on an online community. In the post, netizen “A” shared that actor “K” forced her to get an abortion while they were in a relationship.
The actor was only rumored to be Kim Seon-ho until an official statement of apology was released by Kim Seon-ho and his agency on 20th October. Their apology confirms that actor K is indeed Kim Seon-ho.
Kim Seon-ho apologises for his behaviour
According to Chosun Ilbo, a Korean daily newspaper, Kim Seon-ho began his statement by apologising for the delay in his response. He proceeded to explain that he dated his ex-girlfriend with good feelings, but caused her pain due to his inconsiderate behaviour.
Kim Seon-ho stated that he wanted to meet his ex-girlfriend in person to apologise for his mistake. However, he has not been able to do so. He wishes to apologise to his ex-girlfriend through his statement of apology.
He also apologised to those who have been supporting him, as well as to the people who are working with him. Kim Seon-ho concluded by acknowledging that his statement may not reach the hearts of many people, but still wishes to express his sincerity nonetheless.
S.A.L.T Entertainment releases official apology
S.A.L.T Entertainment, the company that’s home to Kim Seon-ho, also released an official apology addressing the actor’s scandal. The company apologised for troubling people due to Kim Seon-ho’s personal matters. They also apologised to those who may have been disappointed by this incident.
Netizens react to Kim Seon-ho’s apology
The scandal and apology have elicited a mix of reactions on the internet with some netizens expressing their dismay, while other netizens took a neutral stance.

User kibo**** took a neutral stance and said, “It’s not wrong to be in a relationship, but I think it’s a matter of basic attitude towards people. He is an actor with good acting skills and he will become big one day, so I hope he learns a lot from this incident. It’s not easy being a public figure..”
Kim Seon-ho releases apology & admits to his mistake
The scandal came as a shock to many people as Kim Seon-ho has been gaining recognition for his successful works, such as Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and Start-Up. He was also well loved for his down-to-earth personality and adorable dimple.
It’s a shame to see Kim Seon-ho’s downfall right when he was at the peak of his acting career. However, we hope this incident serves as a reminder that the choices we make come with consequences, and as adults, we must be accountable for our words and actions.
