Seoul Angmusae
When you’re in Seoul and in the vicinity of Ttukseom station, it’s hard to walk past this bakery cafe without noticing its colourful feature wall and long queue. Located just 4 minutes away from the subway station, Seoul Angmusae is an all-in-one bakery cafe where you can dine, shop and even draw.

Specialising in kouign-amann and cinnamon rolls, Seoul Angmusae sells a wide variety of pastries from classic favourites to pastries with unique flavours. Other than these baked goods, you can also find whole cakes here too.

With their huge variety of pastries, even the pickiest eaters can find something that they like. One of their bestselling items is the Corn Kouign-Amann (KRW6,500, ~USD4.80), a row of grilled corn and whipped cream sandwiched between crispy kouign-amann.

Also try the Basil Onion Cinnamon Roll (KRW5,300, ~USD3.91). The bread is packed with basil fragrance which complements the sweet onion cream.
If you are a fan of cinnamon rolls and Lotus biscuits, get the Lotus Cinnamon Roll (KRW5,000, ~USD3.69), which is another one of the bestselling items at Seoul Angmusae.
Customise your plate & bring it home

After getting your pastries, feel free to customise your plate with the markers provided at the cafe.

Remove your pastries from the plate and place them on the tray. Then, be creative and draw away, making sure that the ink is dried before putting your food back and snapping photos of a flatlay that’s truly one of a kind.

If you like your masterpiece, bring it over to the counter to purchase it at KRW6,000 (~USD4.38) each. Otherwise, you can return the plates to the tray return area.
Adorable yet practical merchandise

Besides pastries, you can also find an in-house gift shop selling cute trinkets. All their merchandise are in bright colours and have their cute parrot mascot design printed on the goods.

The gift shop carries a wide variety of items from mugs, trays, tote bags to phone cases too. The tall glasses are KRW11,000 (~USD8.16) each, and the goblet glasses are KRW9,500 (~USD7.05) each, and they make good keepsakes or gifts for your friends. If you like decorating bullet journals or simply love cute stationery, grab yourself some washi tapes (KRW4,000, ~USD2.97 each).

Those who are in the mood for an outing instead of eating in at the cafe can purchase a picnic set menu at only KRW24,000 (~USD17.71). The set includes 2 kouign-amann, 1 cinnamon roll and 2 cold brew of your choice. It also comes with complimentary rental of the Seoul Angmusae picnic mat and basket.
Simply pack the food items into the basket and head to Seoul Forest Park, which is less than a 10-minute walk away, to enjoy the great outdoors.
Note that an ID will be required for the rental of the picnic mat and basket, and it will be given back to you when you return the items.

Not to be confused with the outlet in Jeju island, this Seoul Angmusae outlet is located along Seoul Forest Road. We recommend that you visit the cafe earlier in the day as the pastries run out fairly quickly.
How to get there:
- Take Line 2 to Ttukseom Station and leave by Exit 8.
- Walk for 4 minutes and you’ll arrive at Seoul Angmusae.
