Dream High (2011) is a school drama set in a performing arts high school where students develop their dancing, singing, and songwriting skills. It tells an inspiring story of friendship, mentorship, and love as these youths chase their dreams of debuting in the entertainment industry. 


1. Bus kiss

In the final episode, Go Hye-ri (Suzy) bids Song Sam-dong (Kim Soo-hyun) farewell and puts the ‘K’ pendant on him to wish him good luck for his pre-debut draining in the States.

While the emotional OST track Dreaming, sung by Kim Soo-hyun, plays in the background, Sam-dong stares at Hye-ri earnestly and leans out of the bus window to plant a soft kiss on her lips.

Moon Embracing The Sun (2012) is a historical fantasy drama set in the Joseon Dynasty, depicting political conspiracies and a secret love story between a king, Hwon (Kim Soo-hyun), and a shaman, Wol/Yeon-woo (Han Ga-in).

In Episode 17, Hwon joins Yeon-woo in her room to read but soon gets jealous of the attention that she is giving to her books and not him. The couple then squabbles about the 8 long years that Hwon struggled to maintain his “innocence” for.

She refutes his claim and accuses him of getting close to Wol without knowing that she’s actually Yeon-woo. Hwon finds it cute that she is being jealous of herself and mischievously kisses her before going back to his books and pretending nothing happened.

In the later part of Episode 17, the couple finds out that they have to part ways.

Hwon explains that when he was younger, he had two hairpieces made with the image of the moon embracing the sun – one of which he had given to her when he proposed, and another to be given to her on the day she becomes his queen.

He hands Yeon-woo the other hairpiece and says, “Only now, the two become one”. This iconic line made Yeon-woo burst into tears. Hwon wipes her tears and gives her a long, bittersweet parting kiss.

In the final scene of the drama in Episode 20, Hwon pretends to play the gayageum (a traditional Korean zither) for Yeon-woo on her birthday but gets caught when the song continues to play even when he stops. Embarrassed, Hwon tells her that he will give her another present and that’s when he leans in to give her a loving kiss.

In Episode 8, Cheon Song-yi is frustrated at Do Min-joon’s lack of interest in her. She asks him to maintain eye contact with her for 15 seconds and tries to make him feel something. During the 15 seconds, Do Min-joon stares intently at Cheon Song-yi, and just as she is about to give up, he pulls her in for a kiss

In Episode 11’s epilogue, Do Min-joon tells Cheon Song-yi that he doesn’t want to see her any more and she replies, “Why do I feel like you’re lying?” He doesn’t respond and she walks away dejectedly. Do Min-joon then stops time, approaches her, and kisses her gently.

In Episode 17, Do Min-joon gets wasted the night before and ends up sleeping in Cheon Song-yi’s bed. He doesn’t remember what happened and gets an earful from Cheon Song-yi.

Her face inches closer to his as she scolds him. He tells her to move away because he can’t think straight when she’s so close. Cheon Song-yi replies, “Then what if I do this?” and plants a revenge kiss that catches him off guard.

In Episode 19, Cheon Song-yi confesses to Do Min-joon, telling him, “I love you, and I would follow you to your star or anywhere that you go.” And if she had to do everything all over again, she would still choose to meet him and go through the push and pull game.

In the final episode, Do Min-joon stops time once again and surprises Cheon Song-yi at her red carpet event after returning from his planet. He approaches her and puts his jacket over her shoulders, saying, “I told you to not show so much skin, right?”
