Jung Ho-yeon Cast In Apple TV+ Series Disclaimer, A Psychological Thriller Adapted From A Novel

Jung Ho-yeon to star in Disclaimer


On 18th March 2022, it was reported that Jung Ho-yeon was cast in the Apple TV+ series titled Disclaimer. The queen of our hearts is finally returning to our screens! 

Disclaimer marks Jung Ho-yeon’s second project following her breakout role in Squid Game, and we can’t wait to see what the upcoming series has in store for the actress. 


A thriller based on the novel of the same name

Disclaimer is adapted from the novel of the same name written by Renée Knight. The book was published in 2015.

The Apple TV+ series is a psychological thriller that sheds light on the offences of large institutions. A journalist goes against all odds to question and challenge the system.

However, things take a turn for the worse when the journalist comes across a novel written by a widower. As she reads the novel, she gradually finds out that the protagonist’s story is parallel to her own.

After reading the novel, the journalist lives in fear as the widower is privy to her hidden past and secrets.


Will act alongside Hollywood star Cate Blanchett

Jung Ho-yeon is indeed a global star as she’ll be starring in Disclaimer alongside big Hollywood names such as Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline.

You may recognise Cate Blanchett from Ocean’s 8 and The Hobbit. She will play Catherine Ravenscroft in Disclaimer, a journalist whose life is thrown into a dark abyss following her encounter with the mysterious novel.

Jung Ho-yeon will take on the role of Kim, who works for Catherine Ravenscroft. She’s driven and determined, and she knows that working alongside Catherine Ravenscroft will bring her success in the long run.


Jung Ho-yeon to show off acting chops in Disclaimer


The budding actress is truly on a roll as she was recently awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series at the 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Although the release date of the series has yet to be confirmed, her fans are already anticipating the grand arrival of the psychological thriller!
