X1 Post-disbandment: What The Former Members Are Up To & Where To Find Them

The X1 members’ whereabouts


It’s been almost two years since X1 faced the unfortunate fate of disbandment. Since then, the members have been busy with their personal schedules, and a number of them have even bagged home music show wins. If you’re wondering what exactly are the X1 members up to now, here’s what they’re doing, and where to find them.


1. Kim Yo-han

The winner of PRODUCE X 101 and X1’s center, Kim Yo-han released a digital single, No More, on 25th August 2020. Two months later, he made his debut in the six-member group WEi.

On 20th February 2021, Yo-han wrapped up the Korean adaptation of the Taiwanese drama A Love So Beautiful, which is a rom-com, coming of age series.

He played the role of Cha Heon, a tsundere who eventually falls in love with his happy-go-lucky classmate, Sin Sol-i, played by co-star So Ju-yeon.

Just four days after his drama concluded, he made a comeback with his group, WEi, with new a new song called All Or Nothing (모 아님 도), and appeared on Episode 503 of MBC’s Weekly Idol that aired on 17th March 2021.

2. Kim Woo-seok

Since X1’s disbandment, Kim Woo-seok has been a busy bee preparing for his solo debut, and even starring in a Playlist Original web drama titled Twenty Twenty

While Twenty Twenty was still airing, Woo-seok released a digital single with fellow X1 member Lee Eun-sang on 14th October 2020. Fans rejoiced at the interaction of the X1 members post-disbandment.

He also made a comeback on 8th February 2021 with his second EP, Tasty. Check out his title track Sugar below:

Woo-seok has also bagged two music show trophies from M! Countdown and Music Bank, pulling ahead big names like IU and HyunA.

Woo-seok will be starring in the tvN fantasy drama Bulgasal: Immortal Souls. The drama has an impressive cast: Lee Jin-wook (Sweet Home), Kwon Na-ra (Itaewon Class), Lee Joon (My Father is Strange), and Gong Seung-yeon (Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency). Bulgasal: Immortal Souls is centred on the topic of reincarnation, and it will air on 18th December.

The flower boy also successfully concluded his 1st ONTACT fan meeting, N423 on 28th March 2021. He performed 5 songs – Tasty, Sugar, Holiday, Better, and Do U Like – and played games during the fan meet.

3. Han Seung-woo

The X1 members’ pillar of strength, Han Seung-woo, conducted his 1st fan meet in February 2020, and later joined VICTON for their upcoming comeback in May with the EP Continuous.

Seung-woo later made his solo debut with the album FAME in August 2020. His mini-album included six tracks and showcased his songwriting and music composition prowess.

Subsequently, he was given an opportunity to host a radio show called Blanket Kick on Naver NOW every Thursday with his fellow member, Seungsik.

Seung-woo also made his acting debut in the role of Lee Si-woo in a web drama called Love#Hashtag (사랑#해시태그).

The drama discusses the use of SNS (social networking sites) functions like hashtags, DMs (direct messaging), comments, stories, and likes, along with love stories of men and women in their 20s and 30s. You can watch the drama on CELEBe Korea’s official app (Android/iOS) and their YouTube channel.

4. Cho Seung-youn

After X1’s disbandment announcement, fans have been eagerly waiting for the comeback of Cho Seung-youn, better known under his stage name WOODZ.

He repaid the love received from ONEITs by releasing the dance practice of his self-produced song, Dream, which he auditioned with on episode two of Produce X 101.

Later, he landed his first endorsement deal with the Korean cosmetics brand Cledbel. WOODZ even went a step further and composed the theme song for the commercials Cledbel was going to push out to promote their products.

After that, he made a comeback as a soloist with his first mini-album EQUAL. The self-produced album consists of seven tracks, boasting his songwriting and composition skills yet again. He also treated K-hip hop and R&B fans to songs featuring the rapper Punchnello and Colde. 

WOODZ is known for interacting closely with his fans, known as MOODZ, over impromptu Instagram lives in the wee hours of the morning, playing songs and singing to them too.

Sometimes, he even replies to fans on his personal Twitter account. Watch out everyone, your oppa sees everything you’re tweeting – even your thirst tweets.

During Seung-youn’s comeback promotions of his single, his and Yo-han’s promotion periods overlapped. Yo-han uploaded a two-shot photo of them on his Instagram story, while WOODZ uploaded one with Woo-seok back when they did a collaboration stage for KCON:TACT 2.

On the side, he actively produces content for his fellow MOODZ. He did a spin-off of MBC’s I Live Alone, wittily titling it I Live With My Mom and I Live With My Mom 2. He also uploads cute vlogs to document what he does on the daily.

5. Song Hyeong-jun & Kang Min-hee

Two of the five X1 members born in 2002, Song Hyeong-jun and Kang Min-hee made their re-debut in CRAVITY on 14th Apr 2020 with HIDEOUT: REMEMBER WHO WE ARE – SEASON 1, following X1’s disbandment.

Seeing some familiar faces? Yup, Won-jin and Jung-mo took part in PRODUCE X 101 too. Jung-mo fell short of debuting in the final line-up, ranking at #12, and Won-jin placed #16 during the finale.

6. Cha Jun-ho

Cha Jun-ho, the oldest in the ‘02 line and known for his visuals, made his long-awaited re-debut with his labelmates in Woollim Entertainment’s boy group DRIPPIN in October 2020.

Except for DRIPPIN’s maknae Allen, the other members of the group were also introduced to the general public via PRODUCE X 101. They are Kim Dong-yun, Lee Hyeop, Joo Chang-uk, Kim Min-seo, and Hwang Yun-seong.

Later in 2021, DRIPPIN made their first comeback on 16th March with six new tracks. The title track, Young Blood, was produced by Monotree. Check out their MV below:

7. Lee Han-gyul & Nam Do-hyon

X1’s tough guy and maknae respectively, Lee Han-gyul and Nam Do-hyon’s first schedule since disbandment were to meet fans through their first fan meeting, Happy Day : Birthday, at the Grand Peace Palace in Kyunghee University.

Fellow X1 members came down to show their support for the duo, and thanks to Yo-han, who uploaded a group picture of them backstage, ONEITs’ thirst for X1 member interactions were quenched.

The duo also released a pre-debut song, Toward Tomorrow, showcasing their vocals and their hopes for a better tomorrow since X1’s disbandment.

The two were scheduled to make their debut as H&D in March, but it was pushed back a month later due to the COVID-19 situation in South Korea. Until they finally made their debut on 21st Apr 2020, they released a pre-release single called Unfamiliar

Time flies, and H&D’s debut EP, Soulmate, was released. They performed their title track, Soul, and B-side track, Good Night, during their music show promotions.

Later, their label announced that H&D would be re-debuting with other trainees in the boy group BAE173. The boys debuted with their first mini-album, INTERSECTION : SPARK, with the title track Crush On U.

On 8th Apr 2021, BAE173 made their first comeback with INTERSECTION : TRACE.

8. Lee Eun-sang

‘02 liner Lee Eun-sang released his photobook, As Promised, as his first promotional activity since the disbandment. The photobook showcased both the mature and youthful charms of Eun-sang, which only made the fans love him even more.

After the release of his photobook, he released his first single album, Beautiful Scar. The title track features AB6IX’s Park Woojin, who was also part of the final line-up in Produce 101 Season 2.

Later on 11th October 2020, a collaboration with fellow X1 member, Kim Woo-seok was announced on Eun-sang’s official Twitter account. The duo released a digital single, Memories, and both of them took part in writing the lyrics.

Since then, Eun-sang has participated in singing OSTs for web dramas, performed in Mnet’s KCON:TACT 2 and even conducted his first online fan meeting Beautiful Sky on 24th Oct last year.

9. Son Dong-pyo

The final member of the ‘02 line and the resident cutie, Son Dong-pyo was the last of the X1 members to make his re-debut since disbandment.

Prior to his re-debut, he often kept in touch with his fans through V LIVE and was known by fans of for releasing spoilers of his debut with MIRAE (미래소년)

On 17th Mar 2021, MIRAE’s debut EP, KILLA, was finally released.

During their MBC’s Show! Music Core schedule on 27th March, ex-X1 members Jun-ho and Dong-pyo reunited backstage, and Dong-pyo uploaded a selca of their interaction. 

Yo-han also uploaded a selca on his Instagram story when they bumped into each other for their schedule at SBS’s Inkigayo the day after.
