When we think of uniforms, we often don’t think of them as fashion statements. However, South Korea’s school uniforms are iconic – numerous K-pop idol groups have worn school uniforms as stage outfits, and they’ve been pivotal in school K-dramas too.
Of course, it’s difficult to get your hands on those uniforms if you aren’t a student in Korea. But Korean school uniform rental shops, such as Ewha School Uniform, have made them more accessible, allowing you to dress like your favourite idol or K-drama character.

Ewha School Uniform owns one of the most extensive collections of school uniforms among the myriad of school uniform rental shops in Korea.
You can mix and match the tops and bottoms here to create a unique school uniform look. The uniforms come in a variety of colours, and you can choose between pastel hues or a monochrome palette.

Ewha School Uniform even has customised uniforms based on the popular talent shows Produce 101 and Produce 48. Now, you can dress like your favourite Produce contestants.

Compared to most clothing shops in Korea, Ewha School Uniform provides a wide range of sizes, from XS to XXL. If you can’t find a size that fits you, the staff will assist you and try to find a uniform that fits.
Each customer is allowed 2 fitting chances. After that, each additional fitting costs KRW2,000 (~USD1.80). If you decide not to go ahead with the rental after the fittings, you will be charged the full-day rental fee.
A full day uniform rental for 1 set costs KRW20,000 (~USD17.70), which includes the top, bottom, vest, and tie. Both male and female school jackets cost an additional KRW5,000 (~USD4.40).
Renting it for 2 days costs KRW25,000 (~USD22.10), and for 3 days, it costs KRW30,000 (~USD26.55).
If you would like to rent it for more than 3 days, each subsequent day costs an additional KRW3,000 (~USD2.65).
Do note that you will need to provide your ID card and leave a deposit of KRW5,000 (~USD4.40) for each set of uniform. The amount will be refunded when the uniform is returned in good condition.

Aside from the uniforms, Ewha School Uniform also has an assortment of accessories to choose from.
There are ties, bowties, ribbons and hair accessories – you will be spoiled for choice.
Best of all, these accessories are free of charge and you can use as many accessories as you want. However, other props such as school bags have an additional charge of KRW5,000 (~USD4.40), so you might want to bring along a suitable bag that will match the student look.

Ewha School Uniform has a pretty pink dressing room, with flat irons and curlers provided for you to style your hair. These are free for use.

The shop has a mini classroom set where you can take photos, as well as other great photo spots in the shop. Overall, the entire shop has aesthetically pleasing decor, with multi-coloured LED lights and pastel walls.
